If you are one of Indiana's small urban or rural transportation providers the Indiana Rural Transit
Assistance Program (RTAP) is here to serve you. The RTAP Program provides technical assistance
and training to transportation providers all over the state of Indiana. We work with many different
types of transportation agencies including:
- Public transit operators
- Agencies/Councils on Aging (AoA/CoA)
- Vocational Rehabilitation providers
- Step Ahead councils
- Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO)
- Commercial transportation providers
- Transportation Advisory Committees (TAC)
Our services are provided at no cost to those agencies that provide public and social service
transportation. The Indiana RTAP Program is funded by the Federal Transit Administration and the
Indiana Department of Transportation.

Most Outstanding State RTAP Program The National Rural Transit Assistance Program (National RTAP) recently announced its 2009 RTAP State Achievement Awards at the Community Transportation Association of America's (CTAA) Expo in Providence, Rhode Island. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) received the 2009 Outstanding State RTAP Program award. Indiana RTAP is administered by INDOT and operated by RLS & Associates, Inc. via RLS' Columbus, Indiana office.
